Henry Vehovec,
P. Eng., MBA
Founder and President

Mr. Vehovec himself has invested in several early stage companies in life sciences, telecommunications and software services. He started his business career with IBM Canada and helped launch the IBM Personal Computer. He left IBM to become a founding director and investor in ISG Technologies. He held a general management position with EPSON before starting ADAM Peripherals and creating the Optimac product line of mass storage subsystems. Through Mindfirst, Mr. Vehovec currently provides strategic consulting, financial advisory and outsourcing services to growing businesses and projects.

Henry Vehovec is the Chair and Founder of the Angel Investor Summit, conference and think tank. The event spawned the creations of the National Angel Organization (NAO) which has become the definitive national network and collective voice for angel investors in Canada.

In his role of NAO Chair, Mr. Vehovec has been quoted and published in national newspapers and other media. In demand as a panellist and spokesman on early capital formation issues Mr. Vehovec has been consulted by federal and provincial governments.

In recent years Mr. Vehovec was the Education Chair for the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization (YEO) University held in Toronto. He was a delegate at the World Economic Forum's India Economic Summit. Other volunteer boards include the McLuhan Festival of the Future and the Investment Committee of the Foundation for Sustainable Development Canada.

In 1996, he completed the Owner/President Management (OPM) Program at the Harvard Business School. Mr. Vehovec holds an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, a P.Eng. designation, and B.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto.
